9 HABITS OF AN EMPOWERED WOMAN
"A WOMAN
WITH A VISION
EMPOWERS AN
EMPIRE OF
WOMEN TO
DO MORE,
SEE MORE,
AND
BE MORE."
1. KNOW YOUR WORTH, THEN ADD TAX
Know your worth in your relationships, friendships & career. Once you realize your worth, you'll stop giving people discounts! It took me years to realize my worth, and I feel confident knowing what I deserve.
"I know what I bring to the table, so trust me when I say I'm not afraid to eat alone."
2. STAND UP FOR YOURSELF
There comes a point in your life where you are fed up with some sort of adversity. I grew up being bullied and teased. As I got older, I was starting to get fed up with it and knew I had to stand up for myself in order for me to find my peace of mind. When you stand up for yourself, you're letting those who are pushing you around know that you aren't going to take their shit anymore. Practice in the mirror specific affirmations specifically for this step! For example: "I'm worth the respect" "I will give respect to get respect" "I'm beautiful, inside and out. No one can break me"
3. LEARN TO SAY NO
You cannot please everyone. It's nearly damn impossible to. If you have the expectations of pleasing everyone, you'll end up very disappointed & stressed out more than you need to be. Just know, it's okay to say no to certain things! I think I've taken this step a little too far, because I say no to almost everything LOL Hey, but I don't feel as pressured to do things that I'm not ready for or not really into for the sake of someone's happiness. Focus on yourself first and others second!
4. CUT OFF YOUR DEAD ENDS
Cut off all your dead ends, and I'm not just talking about your hair. To be an empowered woman, it means that you have to be at charge of the energies you allow in your life. Cut off that ex that keeps dragging you out of your progress & friends who act fake as fuck. Basically cut off anything that doesn't serve you positivity. Trust your gut because it's ALWAYS right. An empowered woman doesn't have time for anything that has the potential to bring her down.
5. WORK ON YOUR SUCCESS
I've learned that success equals happiness. So #5 can also mean work on your happiness. Do what makes YOU happy. Easier said than done? No. For me, it was harder said than done because I was limiting myself to my fullest capabilities because I was scared what other people will think. Don't feel LIMITED, because there are no boundaries to reaching success. Do what you love even if it seems unattainable to other people!
6. LEARN TO LOVE YOUR FLAWS
"That detail of yourself that you want to throw away. hold onto it. it will make sense one day"
I've been a strong believer of accepting the things I cannot change in order to be more at peace with myself. There's no sense in beating yourself up, but learning to really love the flaws in it all. Your "flaws" are what make you unique! Embrace them & own it.
7. PLAN& prioritize
"I manage my time by prioritizing tasks, working smarter not harder, and by avoiding procrastination." - Jeet Banerjee
When you have your shit together, it really is an empowering feeling. I hate feeling flustered & forgetful! It's an uneasy feeling to have, so PLAN & PRIORITIZE! Write out your priorities so it's tangible and your brain will have a higher chance of remembering it more.
8. LEARN TO LOVE SOMEONE ELSE WITHOUT LOSING YOURSELF
This is NECESSARY! It happens. People get wrapped up in relationships and they unexpectedly losing who you were in the beginning of the relationship. That was me. Remember, relationships means you and your partner grow TOGETHER. Support one another and each other's aspirations.
9. BE YOURSELF & NO ONE ELSE
Comparison is easily at our finger tips. We scroll endlessly with inspiration but for some, comparison. Remember, you are beautiful in your own way! It took me years to discover myself and I'm still discovering myself because I constantly want to grow to be a better version of myself. You can be inspired, but don't beat yourself up to the point where you compare yourself!
