THE FUTURE IS FEMALE

Last Saturday was the Women's March where over 750,000 people in Los Angeles united in this event to have our voices heard. I've always had strong beliefs about equality, women's rights, HUMAN rights, diversity, etc. I started a social movement in 2015 called #WCWOMAN. Although I was unable to continue this project, I still hold the values, morals & purpose of this movement.

STRONG IS THE NEW SKINNY

INFLUENTIAL IS THE NEW SEXY

After having my ass grabbed in Vegas by a strange man the same day as the Women's March, I feel compelled to spread POSITIVITY & EMPOWERMENT to my readers. I always thought that I would be the one to fight back if something were to happen. Unfortunately, I was just in shock and in disbelief that it happened to me. I feel like I'm fully aware of my surroundings and the possibilities that may occur. I'm ready to defend myself IF/WHEN it happens again.

To all my ladies in the place with style and grace, THE FUTURE IS OURS.

Don't let a dumb ass on the street, in the work place or possibly your partner treat you like you are less than. FIGHT BACK in a way you find the most appropriate.

I may have a small voice in the world, but I have a voice through social media. I'm still outraged by what happened, but I cannot let it get to me in a negative way. I'm using this as motivation to get stronger in every avenue possible.

"Continue to embrace the things that make you unique even if it makes others uncomfortable. You are enough. And whenever you're feeling doubt, whenever you want to give up, you must always remember to choose freedom over fear." - Janelle Monae
