SNEAK PEAK: MY NEW APARTMENT - AN OPEN SPACE

First post of the new year  & damn it feels so good! I have been uncontrollably obsessed with HGTV. Moving into my new apartment, I really wanted to make it my dream home by putting my own personality into it. When looking for certain apartment complexes, I really wanted an open concept, white & bright, and most importantly.. MODERN!

I feel like when my environment is simple and clean, my lifestyle will follow through.

Here's a sneak peak of my apartment. I'll be posting along the way to show you guys the progress. So far, my roommate and I have gotten a new couch and rug. Given the fact that we moved in around the holidays, we are probably going to slowly but surely get this place the way that we want to.

DE-CLUTTER YOUR SPACE

I wasn't always living a minimal life. It was hard for me to let go of things. As I grew to be a hoarder, I found myself not only messy in my personal space, but also in my thoughts! Everything was disorganized. I found that de-cluttering your space helps you manage your life a little bit more.

There can be more done other than just throwing out your old clothes. You can also de-clutter those who are toxic to your life. I'm pretty cut throat when it comes to this. If you bring bad vibes to me, I simply won't associate myself with you unless I need to. For the one uppers, the haters & the fakes, this ones for you.

For some people, having clutter maybe a good thing, as it can fuel more creativity.I found out for myself that it reduces stress because I know where everything is at.

Since this is the first post of 2016, I wanted to share with you all what I've been doing for a couple of years now: Write a letter to myself.

It's amazing to see how much you've grown in a year, to see where your head was at and what goals you wanted to accomplish.
I love doing this because the words inside should be for YOU and not for social media. Time to set new goals. Welcoming 2016 with a peaceful mind. Meet you at #thetoplv
